I have not been sleeping well for the past few weeks. Tonight is worse. People I care about are upset with me and I cannot stop thinking about it.
*sigh*
I'm a gay man who married his best friend and started a family. Now I'm divorced and still trying to come to terms with who I am and what I want in life.

Its hard to sleep when you're upset. And then to add insult to injury, being tired just makes dealing with other peoples angst even harder.
My only advice is to either read your self to sleep, or watch something that you've seen a zillion trillion times. If you kept any of the kids movies, that might work.
Or you could just give up, get up and see if you can't figure out how to make people happy with you again.
Good luck!
Jim,
You have chosen the most difficult of all possible paths through this. Been there and done it in a small way. You might feel a bit hemmed in right now. But, hold the field of your decision strongly and keep to your path in the knowledge that it was the decision you really wanted to make.
Also know that you *can* change your mind if you choose to do so at any time. That's part of being human, too.
Time will help this, and so will letting go of the anguish of the past. Holding tight to the past means that your arms are full and you can't embrace the present. Put something down that is no longer serving you and pick up something new and life-affirming :-)
Always choose life-affirming :-)
Cheers,
J
