"Thank-you" and "Does This Car Make Me Look Gay?"

This is a bonus 2 part posting.

Part 1:

I wanted to say a quick thank you to the people who commented on my last post.  Of course I have a great deal of stress about coming out to my kids, and your comments have been comforting.

Part 2:
It's late (I just got back from T's house.) but I wanted to ask something.

I drive an old car.  It looks like hell, but it runs pretty good.  I bought it new in 1999 and now 140,000 miles later it does not own me anything.  But it is not going to run forever.  I have been looking at another car.

I have been looking at the Kia Soul.  I think it's a sporty little car and well within my price range.  I like buying new.  I know the story about it losing resale value as you drive it off the lot, but I don't care about that.  I test to keep cars a long time, so resale is not a factor for me.

The other day I was out with K and the kids and we stopped by the Kia dealer in town and I showed her the car.  My daughter liked it.  My boys did not.  K told me it was a gay car.

Do you think this car looks gay?  What does that even mean?  Should I care?

I belive K means that it looks corny, as in "not cool looking". I doubt that the car can have sexual relations with other cars haha.

Or maybe K means that a male driver of that car would appear gay to others because the car doesn't look masculine in K's eyes.

If the car in the pic was a different colour, it might not ber so bad. I'd consider listening to K's advice.

I no longer own a car in the city, but I rent occasionally. I recently drove a Ford Focus and liked the whole experience.

As to the Kia, tastes differ. To me, it looks like a tank. Good if you to retake Omaha Beach. :p

I don't know too much as to whether it looks "gay" but I do know it looks damn ugly.

No man in his right mind should ever drive a car that looks like that.

A car is just a mean of transportation. If it's dependable and you like it, go for it. I'll ride in it with you. With an Asian guy and a White guy riding together, people will know we're gay before they look at the car... :)))
